Salford has been named one of the UK’s top locations for creative businesses in Affinity’s Creative Cities Report 2026, ranking second for access to creative space and third for access to creative opportunities. 

The report highlights Salford's:

• Strong network of co-working spaces and green spaces
• Significant arts funding and support for the creative sector
• Its growing creative economy centred around MediaCity

These strengths continue to reinforce Salford's reputation as a thriving hub for creative businesses, talent and investment.
