Salford's towns

The towns of Eccles and Swinton have the potential to play an important role in the growth of both Salford and Greater Manchester.

Eccles, with a population of 42,000, is sandwiched between MediaCity/Salford Quays and Port Salford, while Swinton, with a population of 40,000, is the administrative centre for the city council and home to established industrial areas.
