Talent and skills

Whatever industry you’re in, you’ll have access to a highly skilled talent pool to meet your needs.

With over 25,000 students and offering a wide selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the University of Salford is the fastest growing university in the Northwest. Together with the region's four other universities, we produce over 36,000 high quality graduates every year, giving you an ongoing supply of graduate talent.

A multi-million-pound bid for a new technical education institute has recently been approved. Led by the University of Salford, the Greater Manchester Institute of Technology brings together a number of colleges and employers in the city region and will specialise in construction, engineering, health and digital skills.

Salford City College has five campuses and provides a pipeline of future talent and together with the university and Salford City Council, supports employers across the city with their workforce planning.

Thanks to our great location at the heart of the Northwest, you’ll have access to a large and diverse commuter workforce, with over 7 million people living within an hour travel time.

Closer to home, we’re proud that Salford is a multicultural city with 88 languages spoken, meaning we are well placed to welcome and support international organisations and investors.
